Business Ed Courses
The Business Ed. Department at the School of Government and Public Affairs oversees electives in the areas of:
Computer Applications—Mrs. Mary Garrity, Mr. Herlan Avella
Financial Literacy—Mr. Herlan Avella
Fine Art—Mr. Darryl Jones
Automotive—Mr. John Stanziale, and
Woodworking—Mr. Steven Temple.
Through these courses, students acquire 21st century skills, like problem solving, logical reasoning, collaboration in teams, and pattern recognition etc. The instruction for these courses is provided in state-of-the-art classrooms with the latest technology available. Our curricula are aligned to the Common Career Technical Core (CCTC) standards as adopted by the New Jersey Department of Education. In the near future, students will be able to acquire industry-standard certificates at the end of these elective courses.
