Interim Principal - Michael A. "Mike" Ollo, M.Ed.L

Mr. Michael A. "Mike" Ollo was born in Newark, NJ and has been a teacher since 1984.  He also served five years in the U.S. Air Force.   In addition to being the Interim Principal, he also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Education at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ.   As a high school teacher, he has taught psychology, history, biology and math and was the New York City District 3 Teacher of the Year in 1990 and the NJ Governor’s Teacher of the Year in 1998.  His educational career has also included being the Head Teacher of the Alternative School, the Dean of Students as well as the Advanced Placement History Coordinator.  He became the Social Studies Department Chair in 2010 and the Vice Principal in 2014.  He holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Communications, History and Political Science and Master’s Degrees in the Arts of Teaching and in Educational Leadership.    As the Interim Principal of the School of Government and Public Administration (GoPA), he supports the mission of the school and facilitates teacher growth.  He is extremely honored to be able to be part of one of the best urban schools in New Jersey as it prepares students for academic success and prepares them for college and career success.

Vice Principal - Miguel Sosa, M.A.

Mr. Miguel A. Sosa was born in Puerto Rico and has been a lifelong resident in the city of Paterson. As a true educator, he has proven to be a lifelong learner. His K-12 studies began at the Dale Avenue School and finished with his John F. Kennedy High School graduation in 1984. He holds a post-graduate Business Administration Degree from the Caribbean University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from New Jersey City University. Currently, he is completing his second year of doctoral studies in Servant Leadership at the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, New Jersey. By the end of the 2014-2015 school year, he  completed his 14th year as an educator in the Paterson School District. He began his educational career as a Business Teacher at Eastside High School in 2001 and was promoted to an administrative position as a Business Chairperson at Eastside High School in 2007. Five years later, he became the Vice Principal of The School of Government and Public Administration (GoPA). As the Vice Principal for the School of GoPA, he has stated on multiple occasions that he is extremely honored to give back to his beloved community the opportunity to prepare our urban students for academic success.
